Run For Us Virtual 5k

This event sprang from a desire to employ a new platform to promote self-care, wellness, and bring awareness to health disparities within the African American community. Heart disease, cancer, strokes, and diabetes disproportionately harm African Americans in our country. These issues often result from a lack of awareness and/or lifestyle choices. So we want to offer a healthy option that enables anyone to take control of their life and be active, whether you’re new to walking/running or a seasoned marathoner looking for a new challenge. When you select this virtual race, you’ll also be contributing to a few charitable causes that share our desire to identify and close the health awareness gap.
