About the Event
Members can tour the beautiful 150-acre chimpanzee sanctuary, home to more than 200 rescued chimpanzees. What makes this day special is that typically the sanctuary is closed to the public. During the two Member Day events each year, members from across the country have an opportunity to register for a guided tour of the world’s largest sanctuary for rescued chimps.
The tour covers 1.25 miles of the expansive sanctuary in Fort Pierce. Guests will observe the chimpanzees as they roam the islands covered in grass, palm trees, hills and climbing structures. While they are visiting, guests may see the chimps run, play, visit with friends, find a quiet corner to relax, bask in the sun, or curl up in the shade.
Spots are extremely limited so don't wait, sign-up today!
Suggestions to make the your experience the best include bringing a camera, especially one with a longer lens, comfortable shoes and sunscreen. Water will be provided along the tour. You may pre-order merchandise in registration for pick-up or you may purchase merchandise a the event.
