About the Event
Proceeds from the SEASIDE SCHOOL™ Half Marathon + 5K benefit the SEASIDE SCHOOL FOUNDATION whose primary mission is to raise, invest, and spend funds in support of the SEASIDE SCHOOL™ which is comprised of SEASIDE NEIGHBORHOOD SCHOOL™ and Seacoast Collegiate High School.Founded in 1996, the SEASIDE SCHOOL™ was one of the first and is now one of the oldest public charter schools in the state of Florida. The SEASIDE SCHOOL™ opened to thirty-six students, two faculty members, and one administrator serving students in sixth through eighth grades. Today, the school has expanded to fifth through twelfth grades serving over 450 students. As the result of our dedicated staff, involved parents, and the support of local businesses and community members, the SEASIDE SCHOOL™ is one of the top-performing public charter schools in the state of Florida, recognized at the national and state levels for academic achievements.
