The Wingman Foundation 5k
On October 22, 2022, The Wingman Foundation returns to the Cradle of Naval Aviation for its 2022 Pensacola Memorial 5k and 1 Mile Fun Run. This memorial run will be in honor and remembrance of our brave fallen Naval and Marine Corps air warriors.

About the Event
The run will take place in historic downtown Pensacola, beginning and ending at Seville Quarter. Runners also have a virtual registration option, so you can participate from anywhere. Please join us on October 22nd to run, remember, and honor...and help us to Never Leave a Wingman Behind.
The Wingman Foundation is an all-volunteer supported 501(c)(3) non-profit that was founded by three Active Duty Marine Corps aviators in late 2014. The government’s ability to provide assistance following an aviation mishap is finite and may not encompass all of the needs the family has in the aftermath of such a tragic event. TWF endeavors to fill that gap and lessen the burden on our Gold Star families and the families of injured aircrew immediately following, and sometimes long after a mishap occurs.

General Run Information:
- The Wingman Foundation 2022 Pensacola Memorial run includes a 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run (Kids 12 and under only). We are pleased to also offer a virtual registration option. - Packet pickup will also be available the morning of the run at the same location (Seville Quarter). Please arrive early to ensure you are able to get your packet before runners step off at 7:30 a.m. - Both the memorial-run t-shirt and participant medal designs are in progress and will be shared with registrants via the registration website prior to the race.
5K information:
- 5k Registrants will receive a memorial run t-shirt and participant medal. - The 5K run will be timed and available online.
- 5K registrants will be able to pick up race packets the evening prior to the run or the morning of the run. - Male and Female top finishers will receive some additional Wingman Foundation merchandise.
Virtual 5K information:
- Registrants will receive their t-shirts via mail after the October 22, 2022 race. - Runners may submit their times to be included in a virtual leaderboard. - Virtual top finishers will not receive awards.
1-mile fun run:
- Kids run 12 years old and under.
